1. Brief description

Merge is the mapping of a node, a conveyor belt with merging.

2. Procedure and control description

As a conveying element, the merge element combines two incoming product flows (individual flows) into one product flow. The element has two inputs and one output.

Conveying behavior:

The merge element is described as a conveying element. Accordingly, a conveying speed and a conveying length can be parameterized. Both parameters relate to the combined product flow after merging the individual flows.

A failure behaviour (availability and MTTR) can also be parameterized for the merging. The failure behavior is deactivated by default.

Properties of the merge:

The product flows are permanently merged. The incoming product flows are added together and fed to the output.

Figure 1 shows an example of a merge.
